The women's name is Tan Le who is a refugee from VietNam. The told us how they could survive and settle a new life in a new country. She, her sister, her mother and grandmother spent 4 days and night on a boat on China sea. It was a difficult time with her family when they had to face to privates but it was lucky that they could overcome by the man's smart. Besides, her grandfather is a communist, who realized that he wasted his life and then he died. When they landed in Melbourn, they shaped a new life together at Footcray. Her mother worked six days a week and double shifts but she spent time on studying English and gainning IT qualifications. They were poor. Her family slept in the same bed and talked about their life then fall asleep. Now, she is a refugee and a socialist also. In addition, when she was taking a shower, my grandmother died and they went to a temple at Footcray to say around her casket and told about their life.
This is really a good story about her afforts in the difficult life. I like the way she shared her story and gave us a valuable lesson.

  9. In the first video, Tan Le talks about her life is as a jigsaw puzzle, then she talks about each piece of the jigsaw puzzle (her life). She talks how she and their family escaped the communist rule of Vietnam on a boat, eventually setting in Footscray, Melbourne. In this place she and her mother and sister shared a bed, her mother worked on farms and double shifts. Tan Le worked hard to rise above the racial taunts and poverty she and her family experienced.
In the second video, Hyeonseo Lee talks about how was her life when she was a child. When she was 7 years old, she saw her first public execution. A huge famine hit North Korea in the mid-1990s more than a million North Koreans died during the famine, and many only survived by eating grass, bugs and tree bark and power outages also became more and more frequent. She was sent to China to live with distant relatives. In China, one day she was caught by the Chinese police but after tons of question, the police thought she was Chinese so they let she goes. Finally she and her family got past the border, her family was arrested for illegal border crossing and she paid the fine and bribe, her family was released in one month. But her family was arrested again in the capital of Laos and she didn't enough money to pay the fine but she met a man and he helped her to pay the fine for her family so they could get out of there.
