My name is Doan Truong. My English name is Aaliyah. And I would like to tell all of you about myself.
ReplyDeleteI am now eighteen years old. I graduated at Vo Thi Sau high school in Vietnam. My hobbies are playing the piano, singing, reading novels, hanging out with friends, and watching Korean movies. My talents are singing and playing the piano. I can dance too but I will need someone to choreography, I cannot choreography by myself. I attended The Voice for the audition in Vietnam 6 months ago, because of my study so I cannot continue it. My major is Music. I want to become a music teacher then comeback to Vietnam and apply to Soul Academy. Soul Academy is my school, where I study vocal in there. I also want to become an event organizer. Maybe I can do some work in the office then do my singing job at night.
That is all about me. It is my pleasure meeting all of you and Ms Holly.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Sekou Baïss Ouattara, I come from Burkina Faso(west Africa).My hobbies are watching movies, playing basket ball(in my country),learning new things.I was a student in computer programming at university of Bobo Dioulasso when I won in DV lottery Visa.I dropped my classes to come in USA one year and four months ago.When I came here,I did not know anybody so it's was very hard for me in the beginning.My first semester was the last semester, and get a bachelor in computer science is my wish.

But my husband became a Post-Doctor in Baylor College of Medicine, I needed to go to Houston with him. ReplyDeleteI do not have many hobbies, but I love to listen to music and sing. Also I love to go to concerts. When I lived in Mexico, my friends and I went to concerts of our favorites bands. Besides, I like to watch horror movies, this is my favorite genre. I have two puppies because I love the dogs.
I have been living one year in Houston and the reason that I am here is because I went to learn English very well and so end my career and be a great dentist. I really love working with my hands, that's why that I decided to study dentistry and because I like to help others. Well, that is just a small part of my life.

Hi classmates,my mane is Mahamadou Camara.I'm from west Africa Mali.i'm from a big family with heigt kids,six boys and two girls.I have my bachelors in business law in my country.I came in USA in 2014 with out speak any words in English.Im very glad to study at Hcc because I get a chance to learn English and now I can speak ,write ,read in English.My goal in US is to finish my English classes after that I will continue major in bussness law. DeleteHello Everyone, my name is Duygu Ozturk. I am from Izmir, Turkey. I am very patient person, and I don't get angry easily. I like to cook and try different dishes which I haven't eaten before. I play flute just for pleasure, I am not a professional. Also, I am a sea lover. Before I came to Houston, even I couldn't imagine myself living away from the sea. Especially in the summer, I like to spend all my spare time in Cesme that has many beautiful beaches. My home has a great sea view that's why I miss to see and smell the sea. Also, I like to be outside. I really get bored if I stay inside long. That's why Houston is boring for me. In addition, I was a neonatal nurse in my country. It was very hard to work as a nurse but sometimes I miss the babies. It is enjoyable and interesting to work with babies. I think it is enough just for now. I hope we will know each better by time. In this small town I finished my carreer in a law school, and I'm a lawyer. I like many things for example: I love listening to music, preparing food, doing exercise, and reuniting with my friends and family. Hi everybody, my name is Gabriela Ruiz, I'm 31 years old (I'm the oldest in class haha) I was born in Zamora Michoacán, this is a small city in my country Mexico. I have been in Houston around the 10 months for improve my English. I need to learn English because I finished my master in marketing last September and I want to get a great job which I can get more money. I was working in a bank for almost 6 years but now I want to get new challenges in my professional life. The most important thing in my life is my family and anything I do is for them. I have a lot of hobbies such as listening music, go to the concerts, watching movies. Besides, I like to cook and I love to watch soccer games also I love animals. My goal now is improve my speaking because I'm bad with the pronunciation, I hope this changes soon.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Jafar, I am from Saudi Arabia. I lived in small city. I've been here almost one year 09/01/2015. My date of birth July 23. I came to the US for three reasons first, to improve my English skills. second, to get a degree in mechanical engineering, the third reason that to become programmer sport cars "Tuner" all of my brother has sport car that made me interested then I bought my own car which is GTR r33 it made by Nissan model 1998 this the first car for me it has 600+ horsepower I can go up to 800 horsepower but its dangerous and I might kill myself if I lost the control and my country doesn’t support us to create a place to show that, its long story 😁. My hobbies are graphic design, Arabic calligraphy and photography, listing to old Arabic, hip hop, R&B and pop music its depended on the time and mood. Im interested in old and new Japanese sport cars, cooking what else? My future goal I have no Idea about it but to finished what I did choose.
I think its enough I did mention everything that I remember about myself, however, I’m so proud to be with you my classmates and my new teacher Holly.

I have been here in order to make my dream come true. Now, when I am studying in the US, I want to improve my English as soon as possible to go to college. My long-term goal is get a good job and work with my passion, as I really want to save my memories of my life. That helps me try so hard in study.

DeleteHi! My name is Hieu. I'm 18 years old, except David and Aaliyah, I think I'm the youngest student in this class. Therefore, I don't have much experience, but I don't worry at all, I will try my best to overcome the initual difficulties, especially English. I'm Vietnamese and I have been in the U.S for 1 month. I live in Texas, Houston city with my aunts, they treat me as well as they are able to treat me. I just graduated high school 3 months ago. I didn't have much friends at school in Vietnam, I just had 3 or 4 friends, but they were my best friends and they were very important to me. My favorite subject is English, besides, I also like to study Geography, because I want to explore the different cultures from around the world. The most memorable event when I was a student in Vietnam is when I received a bronze medal in tenth grade and a silver medal in eleventh grade in Geography before large audiences. My worst subject is Math, I think Math is intended for everyone who is intelligent, but I am not. I often read some books when I'm free. I love reading detective and science books. Besides, I often play badminton and go swimming with my friends when I was in Vietnam. I have a birthmark on my right arm that make me UNIQUE.

I am currently single and do not have children (but my sister just had a baby and we are crazy about her). My professional aspirations are to go to graduate school and work for a computer and engineering companys such as Google, Facebook, or NASA. Currently, I co-found an Albanian School for children to learn Albanian, which will open in September 10that North American University.
My hobby is cooking Albanian food and dancing.
